On the issue of the confirmed death of the missing Takoradi girls yesterday, social media users and the entire Ghanaian community have expressed their displeasure on the recent happenings on the case of kidnapping.
After months of questioning, the IGP announced yesterday that the parts that were taken for examination have been confirmed, and that the girls have been found dead.
The news however came as a shock and has resulted in an uproar on social media for the immediate sack of the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), COP Maame Yaa Adddo-Danquah.
This was in response to the failure of the police force and all responsible stakeholders in the bid to solve the issue on time and a comment passed by the COP in a press conference stating that the girls had been found and were safe. Police reports were later published and the news of the rescue was refuted and tagged as baseless as the location of the girls were still unknown-May 2019
Social media users and the entire public are hereby asking for the immediate release of the COP from her post due to her unprofessional comments and her incompetence on the case.
The parents of the now “confirmed dead girls” are however in disbelief, and refuse to accept the news of the demise of their daughters.
