Robert Lewandowski should take up residence in the back of the net
Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski captured the attention of soccer fans everywhere just one week ago when he scored five goals in nine minutes in a Bundesliga match. He then went on to add two more goals in Bayern’s Bundesliga contest this past weekend. Competing in the Champions League on Tuesday, Lewandowski wasn’t done just yet.
Taking on Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League, Thiago Alcantara and Lewandowski were streaking towards goal on the attack. That’s when Alcantara drew in one defender and played a beautiful ball to Lewandowski. The man with the hot foot had no trouble depositing it past the keeper from there:

Of course, the Bayern man wasn’t done. Just seven minutes after that first goal of the Champions League fixture, Lewandowski delivered a rocket off a cross that hit the crossbar and came down inside the keeper’s line:

This is just getting downright ridiculous. Not only is that nine goals for Lewandowski in Bayern’s last three matches, but that’s nine goals in the span of just eight days. This is legitimately one of the most incredible goal-scoring runs the soccer world has ever seen. It’s crazy when you’re almost expecting a hat trick from a player, but that’s the form Lewandowski has been in over the past week.
