The lord of Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfour Osei Tutu ll has lauded the Managing Director of Ghana Post for their unprecedented achievements and face lift for his two years in office.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll made this extolment when the managing director of Ghana post limited, Mr. James Kwofie together with the new board of directors and some top officials both from Accra and Kumasi paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo to introduce the new board of directors to him.The new board was inaugurated on 25th June, 2018 by Mrs. Ursula Owusu Ekuffo, minister for Communication which made up seven members chaired by Mr George Afedzi Hayford, the board included Mr James Kwofie, Mr Desmond Boateng, Mr Yiadom B. Kessie, Ms Abena Durowaa Mensah, Mr Frederick Akuffo-Gyimah, and Mr Michael Nana Yaw Adu-Darko as members.
After the introduction of the new board of directors to Otumfuo, the managing Director of Ghana post gave account of his two years in office as he described it as fruitful.
According to Mr. Kwofie the company was able to achieved it’s revenue target for 2017 and 2018, also in his two years in office the company has seen magnificent face lift where EMS has improved by 50%, including logistics, door to door delivery, nationwide parcel services and the Ghana post GPRS has also received massive boost since it introduction.
Mr. James Kwofie further told Otumfuo that the company in the next two years is poised for more innovative programs and projects, he said the company will be embarking on a life facilitator where the company will strengthening nationwide parcel delivery, E-Services, non-traditional business and more.
Otumfuo finally advised the new the board of directors to work hand in hand to achieve more for Ghana post.
