The Offinso South constituency secretary of the New Patriot Party (NPP) Mr Nsiah Boakye has called on delegates, party executives and Party faithfuls to work at ensuring the peace and unity of the party devoid of riots during the NPP primaries.
Mr Nsiah Boakye described the primaries as “home affair” which electoral factions and violence needs to be buried in the Offinso south of the Ashanti region as their sole aim is to campaign for president Nana Addo to extended his mandate in office.
Speaking to Kaakyire Kwasi Afari on Time FM Morning Show on Tuesday, the constituency secretary said, the peaceful cohesion in a political party is the only backbone for political continuity thus, appealing to the 3 aspirants and most especially, the Constituency party executives to do away favouritism.
The current political divisions in Offinso south constituency has caused a huge problematic nightmare on his part as the part prepares for the primaries on 25th April.
In his candid plea to the media ahead of the primaries, he said, journalists in Offinso South should use their medium to advocate for peace and unity.
He wished in his opinion, the media should not provide their platform to grant interviews with party members or comment on the NPP parliamentary primaries exercise to avoid chaos and tension in the area to ensure election free violence.
