Detailed outlines of some major feats attained under the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with regards to the national fight against corruption has been given by him.
The action by President Akufo-Addo comes on the back of recent cases of corruption that have bedeviled the ruling government notable among which is the sale of government contracts by suspended PPA Boss, A.B Adjei.
The ruling Akufo-Addo-led government has been fraught with accusations of corruption, from various sections of the public and on various grounds.
President Akufo-Addo, speaking at the Annual Bar Conference in Takoradi Monday, among other things emphasized the need for the media to be circumspect in their reportage on ‘unverified’ corruption related issues, his government’s resolve to fight against corruption not just in words but in deeds as well as key measures put in place by government including funding for accountability institutions targeted at achieving the ultimate aim of ‘kicking out’ corruption.
