Ken Ofori-Atta, Finance Minister, says Ghana’s economy has been fixed after the government inherited a very bad economy from the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration.
Presenting the Akufo-Addo government’s Fourth Budget and Economic Policy in Parliament on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta said the incumbent government is interested in creating wealth for people doing business.
According to Ken Ofori-Atta, in just 32 months after the New Patriotic Party government assumed power, the economy has seen positive changes.
“I speak to data. Economic growth has doubled. We have registered the lowest rate of inflation in 27 years. When the inflation rate slows down, it favours everyone. The banking sector is also on the rise again,” he touted.
He added that “2019 has been good for Ghana because when the cost of borrowing is low businesses rise.”
