March 2018 marks exactly a year when the Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Elizabeth Agyemen officially started work.
As she marks her remarkable one year journey, this is what she has to say about congestion, Sanitation and Unemployment in the region.
After describing her one year in Office as unprecedentedly eminent she also addressed some challenges in the region.
According to her the current excessive crowding leading to poor sanitation in the Ashanti Region’s capital Kumasi seems to be curbing gradually with a clear picture that there is still hope for transformation.
In an interview with Openghana.com, Hon. Elizabeth Agyemang, the Deputy Ashanti regional Minister has depict the improvement in the recent challenge of the region. Hon. Elizabeth said, though the work has not been easy but she has managed to run through the rain.
Hon. Elizabeth said, the congestion and poor sanitation in the region especially in kumasi is a big war though, but she has at least made a difference by putting some constructional works in the market places which she can confidently say that when the work is done successfully within some months to come congestion would be out of the region.
On roads, she said almost all roads in the region are in deplorable state, but they are working diligently on them and see to their best hopefully by her 2 year in office all deplorable roads would be reconstructed to enhance safety in driving.
On employment, she gave a promise of hope to the people of Ashanti region that, she (Hon. Elizabeth) with the Regional Minister, KMA boss, Osei Asibey and other ministers are on a move of bringing numerous jobs to the youth and the people of Ashanti region very soon apparently this year.
Hon. Elizabeth Agyemang also pleaded to all Ghanaians to come together to assist her and the other ministers to make their work effective especially the fight against congestion and improving sanitation. She requested that everyone supports them in prayers.
