Ghana National Association of Garages in Ashanti region has acquired about 25 arces of land at Atwima Mim near Buakwa in Atwima Nwabiagya district in Ashanti region for another industrial park for their association members.

According to Hon. Nana Osei Bonus who is the Regional chairman for Ghana National Association of Garages, their aim for this land is to move artisans in other places like Sofoline, Abuakwah and those working at roads side and especially those in the association who don’t even have place to work.

He therefore emphasized that, the place will help their members find place to work to get something for family and also it will create jobs for the people in the district and reduces unemployment rate.

Chairman Osei Bonsu in an interview with openghana.com indicates that potion of the big land will be use for the one district one factory for Ghana National Association of Garages in Ashanti region.

According to the association their main worry is when their mechanics settles for long at a particular place and later get sack by land owners which afterwards life becomes unbearable for them.

Furthermore he pleaded to the Government and banks to support their members with loads with low interest since most of them are private workers.

Finally, the chairman told openghana.com that the are working towards to achieve one of the biggest industrial park in Africa where they can produce good machines and be able to supply west Africa.
