The New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s campaign promise to construct road in the Ashanti Region seems to be on course.
Joy will soon been brought to the faces of many residents and road users in the Suame Municipality as a renowned contractor Kofi Job has been contracted by the Ministry of Roads and Highways to fix all the roads within the Suame municipality.
Already some electoral areas have been witnessing the grading and asphalt facelift project.
Information available to Openghana.com indicates that Hon. Maxwell Ofosu Boakye, the Presiding Member for Suame Municipal has confirmed that, the road construction in the municipal has been awarded to Dorma Ahenkro based Construction firm Kofi Job Limited.
He expressed happiness at the level of commitment shown by the Member of Parliament for Suame Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and the minister of roads and highways Hon Amoako-Atta to eliminate bad roads network in the municipal.
Hon Maxwell Ofoasu Boakye disclosed that, all roads captured in Suame Municipality would soon be asphalted to eliminate the hazardous situations motorists gone through.
He said the assembly would ensure that the contractor (KOFI JOB) works to the specification given for quality and early completion of work.
He said this is a fulfilment of the assurance Hon Osei Kyei Mensah gave to the people in Suame constituency and the region last year that, the government is going to concentrate on the deplorable road network and make it one of their priorities.
Adding that, the ongoing roads facelift is to make them motorable and easily accessible.
