Recounting the fracas at the 20th Edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards between Dancehall stars; Stonebwoy and Shatta, several press statements were issued to discuss the matter and punish those found responsible.
In a bid to caution the musicians against the acts they put up, a statement was released asking both artistes to return plaques of the various awards they won on the night prior to their misbehaviour.
Months have passed and no sign of the plaques have been seen at the Chaterhouse premises: neither has there been reports on the return.
This only goes to show that, both two haven’t come in terms with the conditions of the punsishment and not ready to comply.
Shatta Wale was however spotted in a video stating emphatically that neither he nor stonebwoy were going to return the plaques because according to him, ‘they earned it, and their fans paid for it.’
Stonebwoy has aslo confirmed his part of the story with a similar claim. Adding that it would be disrespectful to his fans if he dis retirn the tickets: because they paid all the courtesy involved in getting them.
So as it stands, no plaques will be returned, and this has been made known in plain language.
Watch the video below.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed as we await Chaterhouse’s judgement on this.
